Piraeus Bank in Ukraine

Piraeus Bank in Ukraine (the official name - Public joint stock company "Piraeus Bank ICB") is a part of the international banking group Piraeus Bank Group. The Group is one of the leading banking institutions in Southern and Eastern Europe with assets of EUR 49 billion as of 31.12. 2011.

Founded in 1916, Piraeus Bank now has a regional network of 797 branches and offices in Greece, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Albania, Serbia, Cyprus as well as in the world's financial centers New York and London. The Group employs 11 246 professionals.

Piraeus Bank Group started operating in Ukraine in September 2007 after the acquisition of the International Commercial Bank (ICB). JSC "Piraeus Bank ICB” is the legal successor of International Commercial Bank.

Regional network of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine covers 12 regions: the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions.

As of 01.01.2012 the net assets of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine make UAH 4,217 billion, deposits of individuals - UAH 902,31 million, loan and investment portfolio - UAH 2,062 billion, the bank's capital – UAH  1 627,79 million.

Piraeus Bank in Ukraine is a member of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, member of the Fund of Guaranteeing the Deposits of Individuals. The Bank also included in the list of banks authorized by the Pension Fund of Ukraine to make payments of pensions and financial assistance.

Since March 2009, Piraeus Bank maintains the highest rating of deposits reliability (score "5") assigned by the rating agency Credit-Rating, that shows the bank's capacity to timely and in full make payments on existing deposits.

Since June 2008, the credit rating of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine is uaA (stable) according to the national scale.

In 2010, Piraeus Bank entered the Top10 of Banks that are trusted by investors according to the rating made by the Banker magazine.

Piraeus Bank was recognized to be the most dynamic bank in 2011 among the third group of banks volume of assets and one of the top three banks among the best employers according to UKRAINIAN BANKER AWARDS 2011 published by influential business magazine "InvestGazeta” № 46 as of 05.12.2011.
