Ioannis (Yannis) Kyriakopoulos - Country Manager, Chairman of Supervisory Board

Mr. Kyriakopoulos is the Country Manager and Chairman of Supervisory Board of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine.

He joined Piraeus Bank in 1999 as General Manager of its London Branch and currently is Piraeus Bank Group's General Manager in International Banking serving as Chairman in Ukraine. Past positions in Piraeus Bank Group include the Head of International Banking, Head of Corporate and Shipping Finance and Head of Wealth management.

He holds an MSc degree in Civil Engineering from Democritus University, Greece. Yannis Kyriakopoulos also holds an MSc degree in Engineering from the City University, London, and an MSc degree in Investment Management from CASS Business School, London.

Before joining Piraeus Bank, Yannis Kyriakopoulos has been the Deputy General Manager of Ionian Bank, London Branch. He has also worked in KPMG and Andersen.

He has served in various Board of Directors positions in all international banking subsidiaries of Piraeus Bank Group as well as in real estate subsidiaries. He has also served as Vice Chairman in Hellenic Seaways.

Mr. Kyriakopoulos has been the Chairman of the Hellenic Bankers' Association-UK.


Emil Angelov – Member of Supervisory Board 

Emil Angelov has profound experience in all aspects of retail banking, credit risk, payments and operations, treasury, e-channels and leasing activities. Mr. Angelov joined Piraeus Bank in 2006 as Deputy CEO, Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of Piraeus Bank (Bulgaria). Mr. Emil has served as Supervisory Board Member of Piraeus Bank ICB (Ukraine) between 2007 and 2013. He started his career in Commercial Bank Biochim (Bulgaria) and headed a senior positions in the banks of Bulgaria.

Emil Angelov is a member of Executive Board of Association of Banks in Bulgaria and Manager of International Banking Institute – a partnership of Bulgarian Central Bank, Association of Banks in Bulgaria and French Association of Banks.

Mr. Emil graduated from University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria) and has master's degree in finance.

Georgios Georgountzos– Member of Supervisory Board 

Mr. Georgountzos, a career diplomat, has served in various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as at different Embassies/Consulates of Greece (Bonn, Benghazi, Algiers, Vienna). In 2005 he was appointed as Ambassador of Greece to Morocco with parallel accreditation to Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde and in 2009 to Ukraine with parallel accreditation to Moldova. Upon retirement he was awarded the title of Minister Plenipotentiary First Class ad Honorem.

Mr Georgountzos is a graduate of the Law School of the National and Capodistrian University of Athens.


Agkop Mardikian – independent Member of Supervisory Board

Worked in Astra Bank, Ukraine as First Deputy CEO, responsible for Risk, Finance, IT and Operation Departments.  

Prior to this he was the Head of Risk Department in Universal Bank, Ukraine. He has also worked as Regional director for EGNATIA Bank, Greece. Most of his professional career has been with Midland Bank and HSBC where he served as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking He has served in various positions within the HSBC Bank/Midland Bank.

Mr. Mardikian graduated from University of Padua, School of Political studies. He also graduated from International Studies in John Hopkins University – Bologna Center, Italy.

Efstratios Hatzistefanis - Member of Supervisory Board

Efstratios Hatzistefanis hold a position of Chief Financial Officer in Rodial LTD (United Kingdom).

During the period from 2000 to 2009, he was Managing Director of Dresdner Kleinwort (United Kingdom).

Earlier Efstratios Hatzistefanis hold a position of Director in BNP Paribas (United Kingdom).

Previously, he occupied different positions in Tokai Capital Markets (United Kingdom) and Lehman Brothers Europe (United Kingdom).

Mr. Hatzistefanis graduated Queen Mary&Westfield College University of London, United Kingdom; Columbia Univesity, United States.

Efstratios Hatzistefanis has master's degree in finance.
