On 16 October, Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Ilias Mouzakis, Member of the Management Board of Piraeus Bank, signed a cooperation agreement that includes scholarships, paid internships, support for student initiatives, and joint educational and research projects.

The meeting was also attended by Piraeus Bank representatives Artem Nidzelskyi, Distribution Development Advisor, and Volodymyr Kostin, Regional Business Development Manager, as well as Lviv Polytechnic representatives Mykola Lohoida, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Development, and Andriana Mazur, Head of the Development Centre.

Partnerships with universities are an important part of Piraeus Bank’s efforts to support young people in their professional development. Through these initiatives, students can gain hands-on experience, learn more about the banking industry, and develop skills that will help them build their careers.

“We believe in the potential of Ukrainian youth and their important role in the country’s economic recovery and future growth. This partnership gives us an opportunity to support young professionals, help them gain practical experience, and take their first steps in their careers,” said Ilias Mouzakis, Member of the Management Board of Piraeus Bank.

Under the agreement, Lviv Polytechnic students will have the opportunity to take part in paid internships at Piraeus Bank, with the potential for future employment. These internships will allow students to put their academic knowledge into practice and gain valuable work experience.

Students in relevant fields of study will also be able to attend lectures, seminars, and workshops led by the Bank’s senior managers and experts. Open days, presentations, and other events will offer further opportunities to learn about the Bank and its operations.

The University and the Bank also agreed to support student initiatives, organise project competitions, and work together on educational and research programmes. The partnership aims to strengthen ties between academia and the business community while creating more opportunities for students to develop their skills and gain practical experience.
