Piraeus Bank and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine discuss joint steps to support businesses
23 February 2026

At the beginning of February, the team at Piraeus Bank hosted a meeting at the bank’s head office with the leadership of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine — one of the country’s key business communities that has represented Ukrainian entrepreneurs for more than 20 years.

For Piraeus Bank, this was an opportunity to speak directly about the needs of businesses and jointly explore practical solutions to support production growth, investment, and technological modernization.

The discussion focused on concrete instruments to support small and medium-sized enterprises:

🔹 Accessible financing: development of credit and grant programs to help businesses expand on favorable terms.
🔹 Risk-sharing tools: implementation of mechanisms that allow companies to obtain financing even without full collateral coverage, significantly widening access to funding.
🔹 Technological modernization: use of confirmed letters of credit and bank guarantees to simplify the import of European equipment. Ukrainian companies need to modernize infrastructure and adopt best-in-class technologies.

“Today, Ukrainian companies need real opportunities to invest in development and modernization. We are working on financial solutions that help businesses attract resources, upgrade production, and plan confidently for the future. Dialogue with the Federation of Employers of Ukraine helps us adapt these tools even more precisely to the real needs of entrepreneurs,” said Irina Stakhurska, Member of the Management Board at Piraeus Bank.

Piraeus Bank continues to strengthen partnerships with business communities and institutions so that Ukrainian companies have more opportunities to invest, scale, and create higher-value products.
