14 August 2026

Effective 11 August 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine increased the monthly limit on cashless foreign currency purchases by individuals from UAH 50,000 to the equivalent of UAH 200,000 per calendar month.

The change is part of a new package of measures easing foreign exchange restrictions, primarily aimed at giving individuals greater financial flexibility.

The new rules were introduced under NBU Board Resolution No. 90 dated 10 August 2026.

Piraeus Bank customers can buy and sell foreign currency between their own accounts online via the Winbank app, without visiting a branch. The app also makes it easy to track how much of the monthly foreign currency purchase limit has already been used.
