Piraeus Bank Discusses Strategic Priorities for Ukraine's Recovery with Official Greek Delegation
31 March 2026

On March 30, we had the distinct honor of welcoming to our premises the Greek delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Harry Theoharis, alongside the Ambassador of Greece to Ukraine, Mr. Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, Special National Envoy for Ukraine Mr. Spiros Lampridis, and senior executives from GEK TERNA, VIOHALCO, and DP PUMPS.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm our steady commitment as a financial institution that not only supports economic activity but, above all, actively contributes to society. As the only Greek bank operating in Ukraine, with a network of 14 branches across the country's largest cities, Piraeus Bank holds a unique position in strengthening economic ties and fostering meaningful cooperation between our two nations.

At Piraeus Bank, we firmly believe that banking extends well beyond financial services. It is about fostering resilience, enabling progress, and supporting communities, particularly in times of profound challenge.

During the meeting, we reiterated our steadfast dedication to playing a pivotal role in Ukraine's reconstruction. Our efforts are focused on supporting key strategic sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, and energy, which are foundational to the country's sustainable recovery and future growth. At the same time, Piraeus Bank remains deeply committed to supporting individuals affected by the ongoing conflict. Special attention is given to those returning from frontline regions, by facilitating their reintegration into everyday life, providing access to employment opportunities, and supporting their social readaptation.

Working closely with International Financial Institutions (IFIs), Piraeus Bank has already laid the groundwork for meaningful, systemic support, establishing the necessary frameworks and partnerships to actively contribute to Ukraine's rebuilding efforts and future growth.

We remain confident that through strong international cooperation, shared commitment, and targeted action, we can collectively support Ukraine on its path toward recovery and prosperity.
