Piraeus Bank joins the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council
12 October 2026

Piraeus Bank in Ukraine has become a member of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), joining a network of Ukrainian and international businesses working to strengthen economic cooperation, promote investment, and support Ukraine’s economic development.

As part of the international Piraeus financial group, Piraeus Bank in Ukraine combines its team’s local market expertise with the experience and support of an international banking group. This combination enables the Bank to support businesses already operating in Ukraine as well as international companies exploring opportunities in the Ukrainian market. USUBC membership creates additional opportunities to strengthen these connections and expand cooperation with the Ukrainian and international business communities.

“Piraeus Bank expects its USUBC membership to support the development of stronger relationships with the Ukrainian and international business communities, including potential clients and strategic partners,” said Yannis Kyriakopoulos, Chairman of the Board at Piraeus Bank in Ukraine. “The Bank is interested in participating in relevant business events, sectoral discussions, and policy dialogue related to Ukraine’s economic recovery, investment, and the development of the financial sector. We also look forward to gaining access to market insights, sharing the Bank’s expertise, and exploring opportunities to support Ukrainian businesses.”

Welcoming Piraeus Bank as a new member, Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC, commented:

“We are delighted that our long-standing institutional partner Piraeus Bank in Ukraine has joined the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council’s membership. The banking sector is playing an essential role in supporting private-sector activity, investment, and Ukraine’s economic recovery. Piraeus Bank’s experience serving SMEs and corporate clients, together with its connection to a major Greek financial group, will bring most valuable expertise and perspectives to USUBC’s business community and initiatives aimed at Ukraine’s economic development.”
