Ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk, Deloitte hosted a side event dedicated to sharing knowledge from successful reconstruction projects and discussing the mechanisms that can support Ukraine’s recovery in a meaningful and sustainable way.

Yannis Kyriakopoulos, Chairperson of the Management Board of Piraeus Bank, participated in the discussion, reaffirming our commitment to supporting investment and recovery initiatives in Ukraine.

One of the key takeaways from the event was that Ukraine’s reconstruction is not a future task - it is already underway and gathering momentum month by month. Equally important, veterans and their families - a community that may reach 6 million people - are rightly at the center of Ukraine’s social policies and recovery efforts.

Supporting Ukraine’s recovery requires long-term commitment, coordinated action and a clear focus on both rebuilding infrastructure and strengthening social cohesion.
