On November 13, 2025, Piraeus Bank took part in an information and business event dedicated to the Day of Agricultural Workers, held at the “Lvivarnya” Museum and Cultural Complex. The event was organized by the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration to raise awareness among agricultural producers about financing, partnerships, and experience sharing.
The event brought together more than 100 participants, including representatives of small and medium agribusinesses, farming enterprises, government authorities, specialized institutions, and financial organizations. During the panel discussion, participants received practical information about available financial support tools, including bank lending, grant opportunities, and innovative mechanisms for attracting investment into the agricultural sector.
Piraeus Bank was represented by Yana Moroko, Business Lending Division Manager, and Christos Bougiouklis, Member of the Management Board of Piraeus Bank. They presented the bank’s financing opportunities, including programs for agricultural producers, lending tools for equipment modernization, production expansion, and state support programs for small and medium-sized businesses, such as “5-7-9”.
“For us, participation in such events is an opportunity to build trust and long-term relationships with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, which are the backbone of Ukraine’s economy,” noted Christos Bougiouklis, Member of the Management Board at Piraeus Bank. “These events allow us to better understand the needs of local businesses and support their development in the long run.”
In addition, IFC project expert Olesia Omelianenko presented the mechanism of “Agrarian Notes” — an innovative tool for attracting funds that can significantly expand producers’ access to financing.
At the conclusion of the event, Lyudmyla Honcharenko, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration, emphasized the importance of systematic support for agricultural producers.
The agricultural sector remains one of the key drivers of Ukraine’s economy, and Piraeus Bank continues to actively support its development through specialized lending programs, advisory services, and partnership initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and resilience of agribusinesses.
