Piraeus Bank entered the TOP-5 banks in Ukraine with foreign capital with the most favorable deposit terms in foreign currency that was held by “Lichniy schet” business weekly. Apart from Piraeus Bank 9 banks with foreign capital took part in rating, states press office of the bank with reference on business edition.
According to weekly’s opinion, the most favorable terms in Piraeus Bank has “Standard” deposit with interest rate up to 7.5% per annum excluding bonus program for term deposits. In case of auto rollover and opening deposit via internet banking system winbank customers may receive additional 0.25% per annum to the current bank interest rate.
“Considering the trends in the financial sector of the country, we offer the increased rates on deposits for individual customers. Depending on the tenor and currency of deposit interest rates could reach 22% in local currency, 7,75% in USD and 6,25% in euro. We repeatedly emphasized that Piraeus Bank always fulfills its obligations over customers, serving deposits and loans, according to the previously concluded contracts. To deposit funds in the stable bank is always safer and certainly more profitable than keeping them at home” – commented Ilias Mouzakis, member of the Board, retail banking director.
According to the business weekly’s opinion, the competitive advantage of banks with foreign capital is financial support of parent structures, because they do not risk reputation and let their "daughters" get into the supervision of temporary administration. Earlier we wrote that Piraeus Bank Group today owns almost 100% of the shares capital of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine, the registered share capital of which equals UAH 2,07 bln.
