Piraeus Bank increases the safety of payment cards

Piraeus Bank increases the safety of payment cards trough card issuing with function of mandatory PIN entering, states the bank’s press service with reference to payment card division of Piraeus Bank.

Such kind of change has been implemented for increasing of the level security at the payment with card.

From now, paying with chip card, issued from 01.09.2016, PIN should be entered mandatory.

PIN-code will not be prompted for magnetic stripe cards.

Also, clients have the possibility to change PIN for any 4 figures combination via ATM. Piraeus Bank recommends do not use simple figures combination, similar figures, date of birth and other variations connected with client data for excluding the possibility of fraudulent transactions with payment cards.
