XVI award ceremony of the National Program "Person of the Year 2011" was held on March 24, 2012 at the National Palace "Ukraine". The program involves awarding with the title "Person of the Year" the most outstanding personalities of Ukraine, who had made significant contribution to the key country`s areas in professional and social activities during the last year.
The ceremony was attended by prominent politicians, foreign diplomats, businessmen, sportsmen, artists and celebrities. Piraeus Bank in Ukraine became the Main Sponsor of the National Program "Person of the Year 2011".

So we decided to support this Program, focused on stimulating, encouraging and recognizing people and companies who had contributed a lot to the country's economy and development. Vyacheslav Koval personally congratulated the winner of the "National Trade Mark of the Year" - President of the State Enterprise "Antonov" Dmytro Kiva and awarded a special prize on behalf of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine. General Director of LLC "Optima Leasing» / Sixt Ukraine Vadim Nesterchuk - the winner in nomination "Leader among Small and Medium Enterprises" and General Director of "OMOKS" Alex Kulagin – winner in the nomination "Entrepreneur of the Year" received special gifts on behalf of the Main Sponsor of the Program.
Apart from winners in 17 nominations, organizers of the program "Person of the Year" have identified winners of international and special awards. Thus, an international award for diplomacy received His Excellency, Mr. George Georguntzos, Greek Ambassador to Ukraine. Special guest of the ceremony, the legendary French singer Patricia Kaas received the international award "For the revival of cultural contacts and spiritual rapprochement of peoples".
